Coppo is a historic Canelli winery whose cellars run at street level yet open onto tufa caves carved deep beneath the town, some of the underground galleries dating back well over a century. The house is best known for its powerful Barbera-based reds — above all the Nizza DOCG 'Pomorosso' — alongside a refined Chardonnay, 'Monteriolo', and its traditional-method sparkling wines including Alta Langa.

Visits run by reservation, generally every day including weekends, with several tasting formulas to choose from. Guests describe an unhurried, genuinely informative tour of the cellars and caves led by knowledgeable guides, followed by a well-organised tasting that spans the sparkling wines through to the serious reds; guides are noted for handling questions in both Italian and English.
