Il Botolo is a small family estate founded in 2007 by Roberto de Silva on the hills of Nizza Monferrato, farming around fifteen hectares across its Colombaro and Le Coccole vineyards. Its name comes from a stray dog that adopted the property and became the winery's emblem.
The wines centre on Barbera — Barbera d'Asti and the flagship Nizza DOCG and Riserva — alongside Chardonnay, Moscato d'Asti and traditional-method sparklers. Guests are invited to walk the vineyards and taste at the cellar, by arrangement.
