About 90 minutes
The Cittadella of Alessandria is a star-shaped fortress begun in 1732, among the best-preserved 18th-century fortifications in Europe. Volunteer-led guided tours, often on Sundays and lasting about 90 minutes, take in the ramparts, bastions and the underground galleries added in the Napoleonic era. Openings depend on volunteer availability, so check the current schedule locally.
